This program highlights the partnership between Novant Health and UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine in Southeastern North Carolina. We’ll share how collaborative strategies expanded access to care, strengthened regional research infrastructure, and shaped our mission to improve health for everyone who lives, works, and plays in the region.
Speaker:
Kiran McCloskey, PhD, is a Health Equity Research Scientist at Novant Health, where they lead collaborative research efforts to advance equitable health and wellbeing for people across Southeastern North Carolina. They hold a PhD in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and bring expertise in quantitative methods, health behavior research, and equity-centered approaches. Dr. McCloskey guides cross- organizational projects between Novant Health and the UNC Chapel Hill School of Medicine through the Health Access Research and Advisory Council (HARAC), supporting research in maternal health, primary care, neurology, and mental health.
