HB 508 and Population Health via Improved Access to Quality Care

This presentation will focus on the role of state-level health policy in improving population health in Ohio. The potential impact of policy on health outcomes will be reviewed using a case study of current bill (HB 508) in the legislative process.

Speaker:

Rachel Baker, PhD, RN, CRN-BC, FAAN, is a Nurse Researcher at TriHealth in Cincinnati, Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati, a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. Baker is a Certified Research Nurse and has been recognized as a leader in nursing research. She serves as an adjunct professor for the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing and has authored over 30 peer-reviewed journal articles. Baker is also involved in various committees and has been elected as a State Representative for Ohio House District 27.
