Description of approach to understanding data specifications for quality metrics to be able to design successful data analysis. The presenter will utilize examples to explore the different components of data specifications and discuss validation as a strategy for data vetting to set up the stage for action to follow.

Ann E. McCulloch, MS, RN, CPHQ, CPPS
Ann holds a Bachelors in Science in Nursing from Brigham Young University-Idaho and a Masters in Medical Management from University of Rochester Simon Business School. Ann is a Certified Professional in Health Care Quality (CPHQ) and is Certified in Patient Safety (CPPS). She has worked at the Defense Health Agency for 1 year and a half as a Clinical Measurement RN where she is a member of the Clinical Measurement Team that supports The Leapfrog Safety Grade Program for Military Treatment Facilities across the nation. Ann has worked in the healthcare and regulatory affairs field for more than 15 years, including her work as a Project Nurse for the CDC through network NY state collaboration with the University of Rochester.
