Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is responsible for oversight of membership applications, welcoming new MAHQ members, and maintaining and increasing membership. Part of increasing MAHQ membership includes the Academia & Student Outreach Program, and other initiatives to grow the membership in size and diversity. The committee also works to build relationships with other state organizations and similarly focused healthcare quality improvement entities.
Education Committee
The Education Committee creates and provides resources to meet the educational needs of MAHQ membership. Throughout the year committee members promote the goals and objectives of the organization by creating and announcing educational opportunities provided in various formats. Educational material created includes webinars, on-demand learning, CPHQ preparation material, teaching and training with outreach programs, and publications. The Education Committee is responsible for the planning and execution of all arrangements for the Annual Meeting and Conference. The Education Committee oversees the following Sub-Committees; Annual Conference Planning Sub-Committee, Publishing Sub-Committee, and Education Quality Improvement Project Sub-Committee.
Nominating Committee
The Nominations Committee recruits candidates for MAHQ Board of Directors positions, and facilitates the election for open MAQH Board of Directors positions. The Committee ensures that the nominations and election process for the Officers and Directors of the MAQH Board of Directors are conducted in accordance with the policy, procedures and by-laws of the organization.
Communication Committee
The Communications Committee aids in the virtual information exchange with MAHQ members and general public through written, electronic, web, social media, marketing, advertising, promotion, and other means of communication.The Communications Committee oversees the following Sub-Committees; Communications Quality Improvement Project Sub-Committee, and Marketing Sub-Committee.
Advocacy Committee
The Advocacy Committee advocates MAHQ's newley revised Mission, Vision, and Values to external stakeholders. It helps to promote the goals and objectives of the organization through professional, community, legislative, policymaker, and other stakeholder outreach, as well as, partnership, and educational initiatives in various formats throughout the year. The Committee also works to build relationships with legislative entities and within the local and regional communities throughout the state of Michigan.
Bylaws Committee
The Bylaws Committee works with the Executive Committee and Education Committee, to ensure that the MAHQ Board of Directors is establishing and maintaining proper and compliant governance practices, and that the by-laws remain in compliance with the state of the law.
